Compliance & Data Governance Lead
We are looking for a Compliance & Data Governance Lead who will stabilise and structure Verne’s data governance and compliance setup during a critical phase of partner integration and service rollout.
The role ensures that data flows, agreements, ownership, and compliance responsibilities are clearly documented, governed, and actively managed.
This role covers governance of all service and operational data, including personal data under GDPR, as well as maintains Compliance Management Systems aligned with with recognized ISO standards for compliance management to ensure structured governance and compliance practices.

What will you do?
Establish and drive data governance practices across Verne covering both personal and non-personal data.
Centralise and control all data-related agreements and arrangements with suppliers and partners and personal data matters.
Drive clarification and assignment of data ownership and processing responsibilities across teams and processes.
Support negotiation and setup of data sharing and processing arrangements with suppliers and partners from a governance and compliance perspective.
Establish and maintain a controlled repository for all data-related agreements and policies.
Define immediate governance and compliance priorities and delivery roadmap.
Maintain a central data register covering major data flows and processing activities.
Coordinate with Legal, IT, Cyber, Operations, and external advisors on data governance matters.
Support preparation for current and future regulatory requirements related to autonomous mobility services.
Key Deliverables (First 3 Months)
All data agreements and sharing arrangements centralised and validated.
Clear ownership and responsibility model defined for major data flows.
Data governance structure and priority remediation plan established.
Major data processing activities and risks mapped and documented.
What do you need to succeed?
Experience in data protection and broader data governance or compliance roles.
Experience managing cross-company data arrangements and governance frameworks.
Ability to structure and stabilise unclear operational environments quickly.
Strong coordination skills across legal, technical, and operational stakeholders.
Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with strong organisational skills.
