Data and Reporting Analyst
As Data & Reporting Analyst, you will own the delivery of trusted, decision-ready reporting for Verne using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You’ll turn data from multiple operational and product sources into clear KPIs, semantic models, and dashboards that help teams measure service performance, product experience, and system health.
Who are we?
At Verne, we're building an ecosystem to progress our society through a journey of curiosity and innovation. Named in honor of Jules Verne "the man who invented the future,". We are the first European solution for autonomous journeys. We adopt an integrated approach, including vehicle design, infrastructure development, and the full digital experience.
As a growing startup, we thrive on curiosity, innovation, and bold ideas. If you’re ready to make your mark in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this could be the role for you.
What will you do?
Regular tasks
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for Verne operational and performance reporting (e.g., operational metrics, per-vehicle stats, system health monitoring).
Monitor and troubleshoot Fabric/Power BI refreshes and data reliability across ingested sources (e.g., databases, telemetry, tooling feeds).
Perform ongoing KPI validation and data quality checks (completeness, consistency, timeliness) and resolve issues with source owners.
Deliver ad-hoc analysis for stakeholders and communicate insights clearly, especially around service readiness and operational performance.
Keep metric definitions and reporting logic documented so stakeholders share a common, “single version of truth” language.
Responsibilities
Reporting ownership (Power BI): Design, develop, publish, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that support Verne operations and leadership decisions.
Semantic modelling: Create maintainable data models and DAX measures to support consistent KPI calculation and self-service analytics.
Microsoft Fabric delivery: Support ingestion and shaping of data into Fabric (e.g., pulling data from operational stores and platforms into Fabric for reporting).
KPI framework & instrumentation mindset: Ensure the right events and metrics exist to measure customer and product journeys (e.g., registration, booking/ride funnel, app stability and key screen performance).
Operational/system health monitoring: Help define and operationalize monitoring KPIs (e.g., uptime and response time metrics) and make them visible through reporting.
Data governance & compliance alignment: Collaborate with IT/security and stakeholders to ensure data access, storage and protection expectations are met.
What do you need to succeed?
5+ years in BI / analytics / reporting roles; experience owning business-critical dashboards end-to-end.
Strong Power BI skills: data modelling, DAX, performance optimisation, workspace/report lifecycle in Power BI Service.
Working experience with Microsoft Fabric concepts (Lakehouse/Warehouse/Dataflows/Pipelines/Semantic models) and modern data platforms.
Strong SQL; ability to translate operational questions into reliable datasets and measures.
Proven ability to define and maintain KPI definitions and ensure consistent measurement across teams.
Comfortable working with multi-source operational data (e.g., DBs + telemetry + monitoring platforms) and aligning stakeholders on definitions.
Clear communication skills - able to explain data, assumptions and insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
