Systems Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Systems Engineer to join our team developing cutting-edge autonomous robotaxi systems. This role involves working on the design, development, and integration of embedded systems for safety-critical and high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware and software, coupled with a deep understanding of automotive standards and regulations. What will you do?
- System Design and Development:
- Design and implement embedded systems for autonomous driving hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components. (AD, HMI, IVI, Safety).
- Hardware-Software Integration:
- Interface with various automotive-grade microcontrollers, processors, and peripheral devices.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware/software interactions to ensure seamless functionality.
- Ensure reliability and performance under real-world conditions.
- Standards and Compliance:
- Ensure designs comply with automotive standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE, AUTOSAR).
- Implement functional safety protocols and perform risk assessments.
- Communication Protocols:
- Develop and implement communication interfaces using CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and other automotive protocols.
- Ensure compatibility and seamless data exchange between system components.
- Testing and Validation:
- Develop test frameworks and perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
- Validate embedded systems under various operational and environmental conditions.
- Optimization and Maintenance:
- Optimize embedded systems for performance, power efficiency, and cost.
- Maintain and update firmware through over-the-air (OTA) updates and field support.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with system architects, software developers, hardware engineers, and external vendors.
- Contribute to system-level design and architecture discussions.
What do you need to succeed?
- Experience:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development, preferably in automotive or robotics applications.
- Strong expertise in both hardware and software integration.
- Skills:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/ Science.
- Experience in Systems design, requirements generation and management, V&V.
- Deep understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators.
- Experience with Functional Safety; Cyber Security principals; Automotive networks.
- Familiarity with PCB design.
- Simulink modelling experience.
