Embedded Engineer/Senior Embedded Engineer
We are looking for an Embedded Engineer who will design, develop, test, and optimize embedded systems that support our cutting-edge urban mobility service. Leveraging your expertise in low-level programming, microcontrollers, and hardware-software interactions, you will deliver efficient, reliable, and safety-critical solutions. What will you do?
This role is based primarily on-site, and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as software developers, cyber security specialists, and vehicle engineers, while reporting directly to the Engineering Lead.
As an Embedded Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy embedded hardware and software components for our urban mobility service.
- Collaborate with software, cyber security, and vehicle engineering teams to design detailed test plans, incorporating real-world scenarios and edge cases.
- Optimize software-hardware interactions to achieve high performance and seamless integration with other system components.
- Ensure embedded platforms meet security, safety, and response time requirements, implementing robust debugging and monitoring tools.
- Apply safety-critical techniques and redundancy mechanisms to ensure system reliability and fault tolerance.
- Integrate AI algorithms into embedded systems and optimize their performance for real-time execution.
- Oversee incidents analysis and resolution, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Develop and maintain test automation tools and frameworks, supporting continuous integration and testing practices.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of new software releases and hardware upgrades.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Generate detailed test reports, providing actionable insights into system quality and progress.
- Communicate performance and quality metrics to stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing the quality, safety, and efficiency of our service.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in embedded systems development, with a focus on real-time and safety-critical applications.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, with expertise in embedded software development and debugging.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, processors, GPUs, and communication protocols used in automotive and IT industries.
- Deep understanding of software-hardware interactions and optimization techniques for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, with the ability to integrate AI algorithms into embedded platforms.
- Experience with safety standards such as ISO 26262 and automotive safety processes (preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts effectively.
